A collection of characters designed for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition
TOMAS OF TYR
Mountain Dwarf Paladin (Oath of Vengeance) / Sorcerer (Divine Soul)
Primary Role: single target damage dealer
Secondary Role: support caster
Spell choices:
- Wreak vengeance - battlefield control & debuffs (e.g. hold person, mind sliver)
- Even the odds - healing & buffing self/party (e.g. cure wounds, magic weapon)
Background: Acolyte
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Personality traits: I see omens in every event and action. The gods try to speak to us, we just need to listen.
Ideals: The ancient traditions of worship and sacrifice must be preserved and upheld.
Bonds: I will someday get revenge on the corrupt temple hierarchy who branded me a heretic.
Flaws: Once I pick a goal, I become obsessed with it to the detriment of everything else in my life.
SIGURD JARLSSON

Primary Role: frontline tank
Secondary Role: support caster
Spell choices:
- Cutting words - battlefield control & debuffs (e.g. vicious mockery, hideous laughter)
- Bolstering ballads - healing & buffing self/party (e.g. healing word, disguise self)
Background: Faction Agent: Harpers
Alignment: Neutral Good
Personality Traits: I know a story relevant to almost every situation, and nobody stays angry at me or around me for long, since I can defuse any amount of tension.
Ideals: Aspiration. I seek to prove myself worthy of my idol's favor by matching my actions against their teachings.
Bonds: I idolize a hero of the old tales and measure my deeds against that person’s (my father Harald, see below).
Flaws: I believe I will never live up to my father's expectations and sometimes it shakes my confidence. I won’t be happy until my father hears skalds sing about me.
HARALD ELKHARDT

Primary Role: frontline tank
Secondary Role: party face
Background: Gladiator
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Personality Traits: I love a good insult, even one directed at me. I get bitter if I’m not the center of attention.
Ideals: Beauty. When I perform, I make the world better than it was, even as I slice up my foes.
Bonds: I want to be famous, whatever it takes.
Flaws: I’ll do anything to win fame and renown.
You, Harald, are a child of the icy wilderness, born and raised in one of the Reghed tribes (Elk). Imagine, after following herds of migrating reindeer your whole life, getting a taste of what life in Ten-Towns has to offer. A fast and skilled dual-wielding barbarian, you planned to ply your trade as a gladiator across the Ten Towns to learn about the inhabitants, but since Icewind Dale has been trapped in a perpetual winter, there isn’t much work.
As a descendant of the Elk Tribe nobility, Harald is blessed with preternatural speed and ambidexterity that allows him to fight with two weapons equally well (Two Weapon Fighting Style feat paired with Dual Wielding feat).
ATREOX OF TEMPUS
Primary Role: frontline melee combatant
Secondary Role: support caster / healer
Background: Mercenary Veteran
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Personality Traits: I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success.
Ideals: Responsibility. I do what I must and obey just authority.
Bonds: Those who fight beside me are those worth dying for.
Flaws: I have little respect for anyone who is not a proven warrior.
Atreox's Bronze Dragon ancestry manifests in his calling as a mercenary for hire, travelling the Forgotten Realms to ply his trade and bring the glory of battle to Tempus. Serious and focused on the objective, he values strength of arms above all.
REGAN
Primary Role: party 'face', investigator, infiltrator
Secondary Role: skirmisher, damage dealer
Background: Criminal/Spy (I prefer Spy)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Personality Traits: I don’t pay attention to the risks in a situation. Never tell me the odds.
Ideals: People. I’m loyal to my friends, not to any ideals, and everyone else can take a trip down the Styx for all I care.
Bonds: I’m trying to pay off an old debt I owe to a generous benefactor. That benefactor is my mercenary partner, Atreox, and I have a long way to go to be square.
Flaws: If there’s a plan, I’ll forget it. If I don’t forget it, I’ll ignore it.
Originally created as a sidekick to Atreox, it soon became apparent that Regan's charm made him more palatable as the party face than Atreox's brusque business-like manner. Regan uses his training as a spy to trick, sneak past or ambush enemies and rides his halfling luck when things go south.
